What is Meditation?

Meditation is a simple, practical tool which helps you experience more clarity and happiness.   Clinical research has shown that the regular practice of meditation improves mental and physical well-being.

This powerful traditional meditation, which involves observation of the natural breath, calms and purifies the mind, leading to peace, clarity and positivity.  It develops awareness and helps you to improve concentration so that you are more effective in everyday life.  The technique was taught by Buddha, Patanjali and Shankara.

Mary teaches individually or in small groups.  There are 6 sessions to learn the technique. Each session lasts about two hours and includes meditation instruction and practice, some theory and the opportunity to ask questions and discuss experiences.

Mary has been trained to teach meditation by Kumar, a yoga master from India with 35 years of advanced meditation experience and she regularly organises and  attends meditation retreats in the UK and India.
